The Alabama River Region Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) is a vibrant extension of one of the world’s most historic and influential gospel music organizations. Proudly hosted by Montgomery Sings!, our chapter exists to celebrate, preserve, and advance the rich legacy of African-American sacred music—right here in the heart of Alabama.
WHO WE ARE
We are singers, musicians, composers, worship leaders, educators, and music lovers who are passionate about gospel music and the cultural traditions that shape it. Our chapter provides a home for individuals across the River Region and beyond to grow spiritually, musically, and communally through workshops, concerts, and fellowship.
